After moving house twice, to Minsthorpe Lane and then Elmsdale Close in South Elmsall they settled in their current home on Park Avenue in South Kirkby. About the same, Les & Brenda stopped working and they had plenty of time to spend with each other. Brenda had a new challenge to tackle the garden at their new bungalow. Les & Brenda also took up Car Boot sales with the help of Barbara. Religiously, every sunday, they would be up at the crack of dawn and could usually be found at Blythe, Whitely Bridge or Doncaster Racecourse, pasting table full of ornaments, glass, china and jewellry.
